Apply for YouthHubAfrica’s fellowship to report child right stories

DEADLINE: JANUARY 28, 2021 — The YouthHubAfrica’s Child Rights Bill Advocacy Program Media Fellowship invites journalists to produce investigative stories on child rights in Nigeria.

The fellowship is a one-year paid fellowship that will equip journalists with the skills and knowledge to understand the Child Rights Act advocacy so as to investigate critical issues related to the Child Right Act (CRA) to ensure its adoption in Sokoto State.

Selected fellows will receive $1,000 for their out-of-pocket expenses to produce stories that will deepen thoughts, cause conversations and insightful commentaries on the state of the Nigerian child.

Five fellows will be selected. Priority will be given to applicants from Sokoto state.

Interested journalists must have at least two years’ experience in public or private media houses.

Freelance journalists and media practitioners in print, electronic and online media in Sokoto State can apply.

Applicants must be between ages 18 and 40 at the time of application.

The deadline for applications is January 28, 2021.
