DEADLINE: JUNE 15, 2021 —The Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) is now accepting proposals for its Fund for Environmental Journalism.
About $5,000 grants will be offered for stories covering: environment-climate-religion connections or environmental health and justice in the U.S.
Story projects that reflect diverse and inclusive perspectives (including, but not limited to, gender, racial, ethnic, religious and economic diversity) and that reach local audiences are encouraged.
Freelance journalists and directly employed staff at nonprofit news outlets can also apply for stipends of up to $2000 per individual.
Applicants must be journalists, professors or students who arw not employed to do any public relations work on environmental issues.
Proposals will be accepted until June 15, 2021.
