The role is remote, based in Nigeria with a monthly salary of N550,000.
The Chief Editor at AWiMNews is a leadership position responsible for ensuring the overall quality, accuracy, and integrity of the organisation’s news content.
Responsibilities range from editorial strategy, team management, content planning and production, editing and proofreading, fact checking and verification, collaborative partnerships, audience management to revenue generation.
Applicants for the Chief Editor role must have Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred. Applicants must also have extensive experience in journalism, preferably as an editor or managing editor.
Although the deadline for applications is February 15, 2024, AWiM may close the application early if a suitable candidate is found.
