Freelance journalist needed at The Daily Influence

The Daily Influence is looking for an early-career freelance journalist to cover the creator economy.

The selected candidate will receive a salary of up to N400,000 per month.

The journalist will join the organisation on a six-month full-time freelance contract.

Responsibilities include:

• Reporting and writing news, features, and analysis on creator economy
• Covering campaigns, brand trips, regulation, and platform shifts
• Contributing to Dealbase (archive of creator -brand campaigns/events)
• Pitching and delivering original stories

Requirements

• Early-career journalist (recent grad or 1-2 years’ experience)
• Knowledge/interest in creator economy (UK, US + global trends, not just Nigeria)
• Strong reporting, research, and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
