
DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 30, 2022 —The Check Global Independent Media Response Fund supports proposals that focus on tackling on climate misinformation.
The fund will provide micro-grants of up to $5,000 for individuals, and up to $15,000 for collectives and organisations.
The fund responds to the hyperlocal needs of media practitioners, independent media newsrooms, fact-checking groups, citizen journalism projects, human rights defenders, researchers and technology and digital literacy advocates in North-Africa Western-Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Recipients would be contributing to the fight against climate misinformation, whether by producing evidence-based stories, campaigns, knowledge and resources, or by fact-checking content being published online about climate change.
The organisers welcome proposals for podcasts, videos, written pieces, campaigns, offline training, MOOCs, toolkits, digital archives and blogs.
Applications are open until September 30, 2022.
