DEADLINE: AUGUST 29, 2022 —The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) will fund stories that seek to expose corruption in public procurement processes.
Broadcast, print, and online journalists residing in any of these states — Abia, Adamawa, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Cross River, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Katsina, Borno, Plateau, Yobe, Zamfara, Taraba, Gombe, Jigawa, Enugu, Delta, Nasarawa and Niger — can apply.
Stories must expose corruption in procurement and award of contracts using data from the state’s procurement portals and budgets, with focus on sectors such as health, education, power, works, roads, and water.
This CJID’s project aims to ensure that state governments become more transparent, more accountable, and more responsive to their citizens by improving the quality of public policies and services.
Journalists must be able to provide at least two links to recent investigative reports. Selected journalists are expected to work with CJID for two months.
The deadline for applications is August 29, 2022.
