DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 15, 2022 – The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) seeks nominations for 2022 UNESCO /Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize.
Governments of Member States, in consultation with their National Commissions, as well as international and regional professional non-governmental organisations, active in the field of journalism and press freedom can nominate.
The UNESCO/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize aims to reward a person, organisation or institution that has made a notable contribution to the defence and promotion of press freedom anywhere in the world, especially if risks have been involved.
The winner will be awarded the sum of US$ 25,000.
The deadline for nominations is February 15, 2022.
