Pitch stories on freedom of expression and press, and access to information to CJID

DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 28, 2025 — The Centre For Journalism, Innovation and Development (CJID) is accepting story pitches on freedom of expression and press, and access to information.

The maximum budget for a proposed story is N500,000.

Female and freelance journalists are encouraged to submit pitch story ideas that explore the evolving Nigerian media landscape at local and regional level and highlight how freedom of expression and press, and access to information are impacted by numerous challenges.

CJID welcomes story ideas that include (but not limited to): Censorship & Government Crackdowns, Digital and Cyber Attacks, Laws & Policies, Threats to Journalists, Solution Journalism and Press Freedom in Conflict and Crisis Zones.

The deadline for applications is February 28, 2025.
