DEADLINE: DECEMBER 4, 2023 — Reporters Without Borders Germany invites applications for its Berlin Fellowship Programme: Empowering Journalists in the Digital Field.
From May 2024 until the end of October 2024 six journalists from crisis areas will be invited to Berlin for a period of six months.
Professional journalists, bloggers, media professionals and citizen journalists exposed to digital threats of any form can apply.
During their stay in Berlin, fellows will complete a comprehensive training programme on digital security for journalists.
Positive consideration will be given to applicants who work as investigative journalists on topics such as the climate crisis, corruption, labour rights or migration
The fellowship covers travel costs, all visa-related matters, provides and pays for an apartment in Berlin for the duration of the scholarship, a monthly allowance of 1000€/month, health insurance and public transportation in Berlin.
Applicants must have a very strong command of English language, adequate experience working as a journalist, and must show a strong interest in learning in-depth about digital security for journalists.
The deadline for applications is December 4, 2023.
