Sony World Photography Awards open for applications

Photographers who want to elevate their careers to the next level can apply for the Sony World Photography Awards.

The Sony World Photography Awards champion inclusivity and access by being free to enter and spotlight photographers telling the stories of our time.

Entries can be submitted in the following categories:

  • Professional competition: Enter your best photo series to win $25,000, a solo exhibition, a range of top Sony digital imaging equipment
  • Open competition: Enter your best single images to win $5,000, a range of top Sony digital imaging equipment
  • Student competition: Provides a platform for photography students worldwide – first prize is top Sony digital imaging equipment
  • Youth competition: Dedicated to young photographers under 19 years old – first prize is top Sony digital imaging equipment

The deadlines to apply for the first two categories are January 13 and 6, 2026, respectively, while the deadlines for the last two are  November 28, 2025 and January 6, 2026, respectively.
