DEADLINE: MARCH 3, 2023 —The Gecko Project is hiring a talented investigative reporter as the organisation expands its investigations in Indonesia and globally.
Depending on location and experience, the investigative reporter will receive £40,000-£50,000 per annum.
This is a remote position; applicants can be based anywhere in the world.
The Gecko Project is a non-profit journalism organisation that harnesses the power of investigative journalism and storytelling to catalyse change that will protect the environment and human rights.
The successful candidate will help shape the direction of the company’s investigations, identify leads and story ideas, carry out desk-based research, interviews, and fieldwork.
Applicants don’t need a background in environment, land rights, climate change or corruption reporting but will be able to demonstrate an interest in covering these issues.
Interested applicants must have experience working in a country other than their home country, and they must have foreign language skills, particularly Bahasa Indonesia.
