DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2026 — The Open Notebook is inviting applications from early-career science journalists for its 2027 fellowship programme.
The Open Notebook’s fellowship is a 12-month, part-time programme, which gives fellows the opportunity to work with experienced science journalists to develop their reporting, writing and editing skills.
The fellowship is remote and open to applicants living outside the United States. Fellows will receive a $6,600 stipend.
Applicants must be early-career science journalists or aspiring science journalists; have some training or experience writing about science for a general audience; and have fewer than three years of regular professional science-writing experience.
The deadline for applications is October 31, 2026.
