2026 Anja Niedringhaus Courage in Photojournalism Award

DEADLINE: MARCH 31, 2026 — The Anja Niedringhaus Courage in Photojournalism Award celebrates the courageous work of women photojournalists.

The International Women Media Fund (IWMF) is accepting applications and third-party nominations for this award that celebrates women photojournalists who inspire us to take action and better understand the world.

One winner will receive a $20,000 cash prize and have their work showcased during an award ceremony.

Entrants must be full-time women, nonbinary or gender non-conforming photojournalists of any nationality.

The 2026 Courage in Photojournalism Award is open to women, nonbinary and gender nonconforming journalists working as a journalist full-time, and journalism must be their primary profession.

The deadline for applications is March 31, 2026.
