2024 Next Gen Alfred Opubor Awards for campus journalists in Nigeria

DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 30, 2024 — Campus journalists across Nigeria can apply for the 2024 Next Gen Alfred Opubor Awards.

The award is facilitated through the Next Gen/Campus Reporter project of the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID).

The Awards aim to recognise and encourage exceptional campus journalists who continue to champion accountability and transparency in Nigeria.

Requirements include the following:

  • Applicants must be Nigerian campus journalists.
  • All entries must have been published on the Campus Reporter website or on other reputable media platforms between January 2023 and September 2024.
  • All entries must be submitted with the link to the report and a PDF of the report (including all images used in the report).
  • To avoid disqualification, save your PDF in this format – First name/Surname/The Category You Are Applying For
  • Only one entry must be submitted per category.
  • Carefully review your entry and ensure it is satisfactory for the chosen category before submitting it.

The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2024.
