DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2021 —The Republic seeks a paid editorial assistant to join its editorial team for 6-12 months.
The Republic invites a current youth corper with clear media- / research-related ambitions. The applicant must be a frequent reader of The Republic and have an undergraduate degree with at least a 2.1 in economics, history, politics or related courses.
Selected candidate will develop print and digital editorial projects, manage authors and editors, commission and manage essays, and work with authors to produce quality writing in line with the Republic’s style guide.
The editorial assistant must have an understanding and passion for social video, history and historical images/archives, politics, broader African affairs and aesthetics.
The position is open only to candidates based in Lagos.
Depending on skills and qualifications, monthly remuneration for this role is N50,000-N80,000.
