Global Shining Light Award honours investigative journalism

DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 28, 2023 — The Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) is now accepting submissions for the Global Shining Light Award.

The Global Shining Light Award honours investigative journalism in a developing or transitioning country, done under threat, duress, or in the direst of conditions.

There are two award categories, one for small & medium outlets (with staff of 20 or less, including freelancers) and another for large outlets (more than 20 staff).

Top winners will receive an honorary plaque, US$2,500, and a trip to the Global Investigative Journalism Conference.

The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2023.
