Grants to investigate environmental crimes in Africa

DEADLINE: AUGUST 31, 2021 —Journalists can apply for up to $5 000 grants to investigate environmental crimes in Africa.

The Global Initiative Against Transnational Organised Crime, working with the Henry Nxumalo Foundation and the Oxpeckers Centre for Investigative Environmental Journalism, is offering the grants to enable and encourage the exposure of environmental crime and support journalists.

Applications are encouraged from both experienced and new journalists. Selected journalists must complete their stories within four months.

The deadline for applications is August 31st, 2021.
