DEADLINE: DECEMBER 21, 2021 —The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is offering grants to nongovernmental organizations who are working for democratic goals.
Nongovernmental organizations such as civic organizations, associations, independent media, and other similar organizations across the world can apply.
Proposals must seek to:
- Promote and defend human rights and the rule of law
- Support freedom of information and independent media
- Strengthen democratic ideas and values
- Promote accountability and transparency
- Strengthen civil society organizations
- Strengthen democratic political processes and institutions
- Promote civic education
- Support democratic conflict resolution
- Promote freedom of association, and
- Strengthen a broad-based market economy.
The average grant is about $50,000.
The deadline for applications is December 21, 2021.
