DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 25, 2023 — The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) is hiring a news editor to join its team.
The news editor’s annual salary ranges from $72,000 – $76,000.
The news editor will edit daily content, including news stories, statements, and newsletters, as well as other news and long-form research or features.
The editor will also edit content produced by CPJ’s advocacy & communications, and emergencies teams, including social media posts, newsletters, and safety advisories.
Applicants must have at least three years of experience as an editor for a news agency, website, newspaper, or broadcast outlet.
CPJ is currently working on a hybrid schedule of two days in-office, with the option of working three days remotely.
