The Johannesburg Institute for Advanced Study (JIAS) is accepting applications for its 2024 Writing Fellowship.
The writing fellowship, which is its Eight Writing Semester, will run from February 1 to May 31, 2024.
Through this fellowship, JIAS hosts a group of exceptional creative writers and scholars from different disciplines as Writing Fellows.
Open to all fields, including indigenous language novelists, applicants may be academics, novelists, scientists, poets, playwrights, independent researchers and journalists.
Fellows will enjoy a quiet workspace in Johannesburg, accommodation, daily meals, access to University facilities, and a monthly stipend.
