WSCIJ’s workshop on maximising digital platforms open to journalists

DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 6, 2026 — The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) has a workshop to support reporters covering grassroots and sub-national issues.

Through its Collaborative Media Engagement for Development, Inclusivity and Accountability (CMEDIA) Project, WSCIJ is hosting the virtual workshop themed “Maximising Digital Platforms: Amplifying Investigative Stories, Engaging Audiences and Unlocking Opportunities.”

Applicants will learn practical strategies for adapting and distributing investigative reporting across digital platforms; techniques to build engaged online communities around key local issues; and ways to leverage digital visibility to connect with stakeholders, media partners and funding opportunities.

The online training will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

Journalists and media professionals engaged in local, grassroots or public-interest reporting who are eager to expand their story reach and sharpen their digital skills can apply.

The deadline for applications is September 6, 2026.
