DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 21, 2021 —openDemocracy invites correspondents in Mesoamerica and French-speaking West Africa to join its feminist investigative journalism team.
The investigative journalism team engages in the backlash project that tracks women’s rights and LGBTIQ people.
The project of openDemocracy Tracking the Backlash is a global initiative of feminist investigative journalism dedicated to expose and refute organized threats against the rights of women and LGBTQI people.
openDemocracy seeks to recruit two regional special envoys to join her part-time team and expand her journalistic coverage in French-speaking West Africa, Central America and southern Mexico.
Selected applicants will research, report, write or produce articles for the series “Documenting the Resistance”.
The correspondents will also write articles on the rights of women and LGBTQI people in the media industry.
Applicants must submit their CVs which can be in English, French or Spanish.
The deadline for applications is February 21, 2021.
