Mongabay seeks investigations editor

DEADLINE: ROLLING — Mongabay, an award-winning global environmental news platform, is hiring an Investigations Editor to manage its growing body of cross-border investigative reporting on environmental destruction and accountability.

The position is open to experienced investigative journalists with at least five years of newsroom or field reporting experience, particularly those who have covered environmental issues like agribusiness, extractive industries, and governance.

Applicants must demonstrate strong editorial judgment, a clear investigative methodology, and the ability to synthesize complex data into compelling stories. Ideal candidates will have experience in cross-border investigations, familiarity with multimedia storytelling, and the ability to manage editorial workflows securely and efficiently.

This is a full-time remote role requiring 40 hours per week. Candidates must be fluent in English and available during regular working hours with reliable internet access.
