Call for applications: Writers, photographers, illustrators interested in Nigeria’s cultural and historical heritages

DEADLINE: JULY 20, 2024 The French Embassy in Nigeria, in partnership with StoryMi and The Republic Magazine, invites emerging writers, photographers, and illustrators to explore and celebrate Nigeria’s cultural and historical heritages.

Through various programmes and workshops, this opportunity will train writers, photographers and illustrators living in Nigeria.

Selected candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to a special print edition of The Republic and a chance to receive a production grant of up to N700,000.

Training involves physical and online workshops scheduled from August to October 2024 with renowned mentors in the Nigerian creative industry.

5 writers ( nonfiction preferably), 3 photographers, and 2 illustrators between the ages of 20-35 years old would be selected.

Applicants should have a strong portfolio demonstrating their creative abilities in their respective fields.

The deadline for applications is July 20, 2024.
