
DEADLINE: JANUARY 10, 2025 — Student journalists can apply for the 2024 Gary Corcoran Student Prize for Excellence in disability coverage.
The National Centre on Disability and Journalism (NCDJ) is accepting entries from anyone who was enrolled in a U.S. or international college or university at the time of publication or broadcast.
The award is the only national journalism contest devoted exclusively to disability coverage by college journalists.
Entries must have been published or aired between July 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024, in a university-affiliated publication or programme. Entries are accepted from digital, print, audio and broadcast media and must be in English.
The Prize amounts are $2,500 for first place, $1,500 for second place and $1,000 for third place.
The deadline for applications is January 10, 2025.
