Northeastern University is accepting submissions from journalists interested in the intersection of computation and journalism.
Journalists can participate in the Computation+Journalism Symposium which will be held online on February 19, 2021 in partnership with the Brown Institute for Media Innovation.
The conference is a venue where researchers in the computational and social sciences learn about important open questions that news organizations are struggling with.
News organizations also learn about new methods to source, produce, and distribute their journalism at the event.
Participants are invited to submit either a single paper proposal or suggest an entire session. This year’s theme is “Data journalism in an expanded field.”
Conference registration is free and ongoing.
The deadline for submissions of proposals is January 19, 2021.
